  Daniel Cornier joined the United States Marine Corps in 2007 as a Military Police Officer. Upon graduating Military Police School, Daniel received orders to Lackland Air Force base in San Antonio,Texas where he attended and graduated Basic K9 Handlers Course. 

 Immediately after graduation, he attended the first and only all Marine Specialized Search Dog Course. After that, he received orders to Camp Pendleton, California which he was assigned to the 1st Marine Expeditionary Force. Daniel completed 2 combat tours to Afghanistan with multiple specialized units. 

 

  Daniel deployed with two different SSDs (specialized search dogs) SSD Chaak and SSD Darko.  After his two tours overseas, Daniel received orders to Marine Corps Air Station in Yuma, Arizona as a chief trainer for the K9 section. As chief trainer Daniel was in charge of training numerous patrol/explosive detection dogs, patrol/narcotics detection dogs, and all stateside deployments.

 After 4 years at Yuma Air Station and numerous successful stateside deployments with agencies ranging from United States Secret Service and ATF, Daniel was honorably discharged from the United States Marine Corps. 

 

  Upon separating from the Marine Corps, Daniel accepted a position with Southern Coast K9 one of the nation's largest and leading law enforcement canine training facilities as an instructor/trainer. After 2 years, Daniel became the Director of Training for Southern Coast K9. While as Director, Daniel traveled numerous times overseas to select over 250 K9’s that eventually went to government agencies around the world. Currently, Daniel is consulting for numerous other K9 training facilities world-wide and is still deeply woven in the fabric of the K9 industry.
